Our students of L'italiano...parlando had a graduation ceremony Monday, June 8th at 6:00 PM. To check photos of this event click here.
28 proud students received a certificate of accomplishment in Italian, followed by a reception including pizza, assortment of scrumptious desserts and bevereges. Music, singing and dancing culminated our celebration.
Our program was very exciting this school year. Besides activities that took place in the classroom, our Italian language and culture classes were extended outside the IACC to the community. The students participated in the following events: Barnes and Noble- Book reading and a performance of the song, "IL COCCODRILLO COME FA". Gelato field trip at Oriens Cafè- students learned the art of gelato making. Relay for Life at Spencerport High School Football Stadium. A joyful presentation of the song, "DOMINICK THE ITALIAN CHRISTMAS DONKEY" and the "TANTI AUGURI" song for the Relay for Life's 10th anniversary.
Sadly to say our school year has come to an end, after a very rewarding year, but we are very enthusiastic for our next session which will start the first week of October 2009 and will run until the first week of June 2010. It will be every Monday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
We will be happy to see all our previuos students back in the fall and welcome all the new students who will like to learn the Italian language and culture.
