Students in our Italian language courses represent many different cultures and backgrounds. We welcome this diversity and encourage cross-cultural exchanges and learning whenever possible. We believe this makes for a more interesting and enjoyable experience for everyone. The only requirement is the desire to learn Italian and experience Italian culture.
Our approach is based on communicative methods (listening, speaking, reading, writing). We try to divide the students in small groups, with a maximum of 10 students per group. A "Maestro/Maestra" is assigned to each group. This limit ensures a small group environment conducive to communication and offers each student the opportunity to speak as much as possible. We typically reserve the last 15-20 minutes of the class to games and activities, and try to join more groups together so that the students may interact with students of the other groups.
